We help individuals and organizations manage their research projects/activities. We provide essential research support for participating studies on behalf of our clients in Uganda and these services include acquiring office space, events management (for conferences; coordination of professional development sessions; organizing targeted technical trainings; organizing networking and community building events). This is done in close collaboration with research institutions in Uganda.

We help our clients with IRB support (institutional and national), IT support and meeting support, local transportation arrangements for research field trips, help in research data collection, transcription, data collection tools translation and data management.

Core Research Project Management Support services

    • Institutional Review Board (IRB) Support: We help our clients on compliance with Institutional Research Ethics Committees (REC) in Uganda and the national ethical approval from the Uganda National Council of Science and Technology (UNCST). We provide training to the project staff (including Project managers, project Coordinators and Research Assistants in Good Research Practices; we help our clients by monitoring all stages of IRB process for participating studies; renewals, amendments and coordinating communication between studies and IRBs and UNCST.
    • IT Support: We provide IT support services by maintaining a shared server and other hardware; recommendations for procuring desktop and laptop computers, tablets and smartphones plus other relevant IT equipment. We also provide data management and data quality assurance services to ensure quality data; and other technical support.
    • Advocacy and representation: We also act as a link for the research project meetings with key stakeholders to help address and resolve any research study administration and implementation issues and any other matters that could arise.
    • Monitoring: We help monitor research projects to address routine challenges encountered and troubleshoot these challenges before they escalate.
    • Partnership meetings: We ensure liaison with Ugandan institutions to set up meetings with international collaborators.
    • Safety and security: We ensure the orientation of international visitors on safety and security and all communication protocols about safety in liaison with local security agencies in Uganda.
    • Research meetings: We facilitate coordination of regular meetings for research study staff to ensure day to day progress of project activities.
    • Events coordination and management: We support the local and international collaborators in organizing research dissemination meetings.
